From Vision to Reality
In 2010, we embarked on a journey to transform the WordPress landscape. What began as a passion project quickly evolved into something much larger, a comprehensive ecosystem dedicated to empowering digital creators.
Over the years, we’ve built solutions that have touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of users worldwide. This success wasn’t just about numbers; it was about creating tools that truly resonated with the WordPress community’s needs and aspirations.
Today, DigiHold represents the culmination of our experience and vision. We’ve created a family of products, DigiFlash, DigiCommerce, DigiBlocks, DigiConsent and DigiFusion, each designed to solve specific challenges while maintaining our core values of performance, usability, and innovation.

From 2010 to 2026 and beyond, milestones that shaped who we are today
The Beginning
Nicolas discovered WordPress while searching for the best way to create a blog. What started as a simple MMA sports blog quickly turned into a passion for web development. He began experimenting with themes, learning code, and discovering the incredible potential of WordPress as a platform for digital creation.
Professional WordPress Development
Nicolas officially began his career as a freelance WordPress developer. During these formative years, he mastered website creation, theme customization, and plugin development. Each client project taught valuable lessons about what makes websites truly effective, insights that would shape everything to come.
OceanWP Launch
After years of adapting different themes for client projects, Nicolas created OceanWP, a highly extensible theme capable of creating any type of website easily and quickly. Released free on WordPress.org, it rapidly gained popularity and would eventually power over 600,000 websites worldwide, establishing Nicolas as a respected voice in the WordPress community.
Expanding Expertise
Nicolas returned to freelancing, but this time with expanded skills and deeper expertise. He specialized in multiple areas: Figma mockup creation, website redesign, migration, optimization, SEO, and advanced WordPress development. This period was crucial for mastering modern development tools including React, Vanilla JS, and SASS.
A Partnership Begins
Nicolas met Maria, and his passion for WordPress became contagious. Inspired by his vision and dedication to creating exceptional web solutions, Maria began learning the WordPress ecosystem. What started as curiosity evolved into a shared mission, together, they would build something that truly serves the community. This partnership would become the foundation of DigiHold’s user-centric approach.
Agency Experience & Growing Vision
Nicolas joined a french agency in Lyon as a Full Stack Developer, handling complete website creation, custom theme and plugin development, and client relations. Later that year, he worked as a Web Designer at a Switzerland agency in Lausanne, focusing on graphic integration, site development, security, and client management. Meanwhile, Maria was mastering content creation and operations management, preparing for the launch of DigiHold.
DigiHold & DigiCommerce Launch
With 15 years of WordPress experience and Maria by his side, Nicolas founded DigiHold in Montreux. The first product launched was DigiCommerce, a complete ecommerce solution designed to sell any digital product or service, with the power to even transform your site into a full-fledged e-learning platform. While Nicolas built this comprehensive technical foundation, Maria created the content and managed operations.
Expanding the Ecosystem
DigiHold’s product ecosystem grew rapidly. We launched DigiBlocks, beautiful Gutenberg block collections for effortless site building. Then came DigiFusion, our lightning-fast customizable theme built for flexibility. Finally, we introduced DigiFlash, the revolutionary FSE block theme that’s 3x faster than traditional themes. Each product solved specific challenges while maintaining our unwavering standards of performance, usability, and innovation. The DigiHold ecosystem was now complete.
